College Retreats
A retreat is a special opportunity for students to step away from their daily routines and engage in reflection, prayer, and personal growth. Rooted in Catholic traditions, retreats provide a supportive environment where students can deepen their faith, strengthen their sense of community, and explore themes like compassion, gratitude, and purpose. Led by experienced staff and often incorporating activities such as group discussions, spiritual exercises, and quiet contemplation, retreats encourage students to connect with God, themselves, and others in meaningful ways.

Year 12 Retreat
The Year 12 Retreat is three days of structured time away from the normal routine of home and school where students are given the opportunity to listen, reflect, share and express their relationship with themselves, significant others, God, and creation. Unlike a camp or holiday, there is a definite program in which there are multiple opportunities for both staff and students to get away and re-create. The Year 12 Retreat celebrates our special Marist understanding of Family Spirit. One of the most wonderful outcomes of this Retreat is seeing the whole Year 12 cohort deeply connect as one family when they return to the College.

Year 8 and 10 Reflection Days
The Year 8 Reflection Day focuses on students getting to know themselves and others through a series of activities that help our young people to reflect on what they have learned about being part of the St Teresa's family. This day is an immersion in our Catholic understanding of sacramentality; that God seeks to be present to us in all of our experiences. Students learn an enormous amount about themselves, one another and God during this important reflection day.
The Year 10 Reflection Days are an integral part of the Year 10 program that St Teresa's offers students. The two days are a time for students to reflect on what they have learnt at St Teresa's, and how they will use what they have learnt to successfully undertake the next two years of senior studies. The Reflection Days challenges students to acknowledge that they have a deep connection with family, friends, all humanity and a loving God. The overall aim of the Year 10 Reflection Days are for students to have time to reflect on the direction their lives are taking and to consider the place that spirituality might have in their lives. The two days will be a dynamic opportunity for your child to engage in a guided reflection process and to share some of their own insights with their peers.
Both of these Reflection Days will be facilitated by Michael Fitzpatrick.
