The Marist Heart

The Marist Heart is a significant symbol within the Marist tradition representing community and the deep love St. Marcellin Champagnat and his brothers had for Mother Mary.

St Marcellin would place the names of his brothers inside the heart to symbolise their connection and solidarity, even when they were far apart.

Today, the Marist Heart continues to embody the Marist heritage, reminding the community of the close bonds of friendship, solidarity, and Family Spirit. The names of all students and staff are placed inside the Marist Heart, ensuring they are always kept in thoughts and prayers, even when not physically present.

It's a beautiful tradition that highlights the enduring values of the Marist community.

St. Teresa's writings include 'The Way of Perfection' and 'The Interior Castle'. Of her seven major works, today we have a copy of 'The Book of Her Foundations'.

These writings are a testament to St. Teresa's determination and faith. May they be more than a symbol to inspire; may her books be read and guide those seeking a deeper relationship with our God.
